Items come in and go out so quickly at Surplus Sales. Currently there is no online listing of all items currently for sale, but we are working on it. Stay tuned.
However, a few of the best surplus items from UCSB are listed on Public Surplus.com.
Buyers are encouraged to visit Surplus Sales to view the items for sale on Tuesdays from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Occasionally Surplus Sales may not be open on these days. Please check out the website updates.
Surplus Sales receives a large volume and wide variety of surplus equipment from campus. All these items have been used in a working environment and will most likely show regular wear-and-tear, unless otherwise stated. Most of this surplus equipment falls into one of these general categories:
Desktop Computers / PCs
Our inventory includes an array of PCs from brands such as Dell, HP, and Apple. Individual PCs can vary widely in their specifications, with their processors ranging from Intel i3 to i7, RAM ranging from 2GB to 16GB, and so on. Because the PCs we receive from campus have been used for educational purposes, all of the PCs in our inventory have had their hard drive disks removed and will require a replacement to function properly.
Computer Monitors & Accessories
Along with PCs, computer monitors and accessories are one of our most common items, with brands such as Dell, HP, and Apple. Typically, our monitors range in size from 12 inches to 24 inches (measured diagonally). Our accessories include standard, wired & wireless keyboard and mice.
Printers
We possess various printers for sale with a wide variety of applications, from personal use to specialized office use. While many of these printers vary in features, the majority of our printers include additional features for scanning & copying as well as fax. Our most common brands consist of Canon, HP, and Dell.
Cables & Adapters
A large assortment of cables (usually ranging from 3 to 12 ft) are available for sale, such as power supply, HDMI, DVI, VGA, ethernet, RCA, auxiliary, USB, and more. Also included in our inventory are adapters to convert a video or audio signal to your desired format.
Furniture
We possess a large variety of furniture in our inventory that includes: chairs, desks, lamps, tables, drawers, cabinets, and more. All available furniture range in features, size, and construction material; we might just have the perfect piece of furniture for your use in a personal, home, or office setting.
Professional Equipment
As our most specialized form of inventory, we receive a range of equipment from campus with applications that include laboratory, audio & video, IT, and industrial use. These products are high-quality, professional-level equipment and include brands such as Agilent Technologies, Amgen, Bio-Rad, Waters, Sony, AMX, Cisco, DeWalt, and Stanley, to name a few.
In addition to the above commodities, we also receive a range of miscellaneous products.
